Morrison Family Christmas Party

This year we held our annual Morrison Christmas Party at Dave and Gina's house. We ate some delicious dinner and then continued with our tradition of doing the nativity play. McKena got to be Mary this year, a first for her. Zackary was Joseph, Colin a shepherd, and Kade a wise man. The kids did a good job, except for the wise man making a running escape at the end during the photo session. We then took family pictures and then opened presents of course. It was a very nice day.

My nativities, and this cute little Believe sign that John's cousin makes.

My living room

My fireplace (I have more stockings, but not enough stocking holders) and my new couch.

Some Christmas Decorations

Again, I apologize for not knowing how to turn these pictures around.

Here are some of my favorite Christmas things. Pottery barn stockings found at Downeast for half price, the tree (the kids are still mad at me because I skipped their ornaments this year-I had big plans of putting up 2 trees), and my plate that I made at Super Saturday.

Ready for church

McKena was so excited about her new Christmas dress that she could not wait to wear it. I figured "whatever" because it will only fit her this winter anyway. And this also happened to be Kade's first day in nursery. He did great! And great for Mom and Dad too!

Colin's Birthday Bash

We started Colin's birthday festivities with a family party on Thursday night. Greg and Jen came to have cake and ice cream with us. Then we rushed off to pack meeting. At least when I asked Colin what he wanted for his birthday dinner he picked corndogs, so that saved us some time. I was more than happy to throw those in the oven.

We were sure that Grandmas and Grandpas would want to see Colin modeling his new t-shirt. (A Kohls bargain at $3.20)

The boys at the birthday party had fun playing football in the back yard. We are glad Colin is 8!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Well here we are on Thanksgiving morning frantically trying to get out of the house on time. I always think I have allowed myself enough time but the rolls were still in the oven, Zack needed to change his t-shirt, and I still needed to put some gel in their hair. We made it though, and had a very tasty dinner with the Halls. We hope you all had a good day too!

First Official Haircut

Since Kade's been walking around for months with a little rat's nest on the back of his head, we decided it was time for a little hair cut. After cutting off this little bit of hair there is not much left. We also took McKena in for a haircut to cut off her baby hair. It turned out really cute.

Halloween night

Most of you have seen this picture already, but here is the gang after a long night of trick or treating. It was beautiful weather and we had a very pleasant walk around the block. I'm embarrassed to say that the candy is all gone! The kids ate it without any supervision from me. Zack and McKena's costumes were purchased on the day of Halloween and Colin's was borrowed that afternoon. I don't plan ahead very well. Have a great week everyone!

October's over already?

Here we are, October 27th, and I am wondering where the month went. We did a lot of fun things this month. Zack finished his soccer season undefeated, Colin and Zack had a costume piano recital, McKena had her Halloween party at preschool last week, and Kade is finally saying a couple of words (mom, dad, shoes, and ball). We spent a week playing with Brooke, Gunnar, and Campbelle. We had a lot of fun shopping all while trying to keep the kids happy. We did go to a couple of parks. We were sad to see them go. Last night we went to the haunted corn maze. It wasn't as good as a couple of years ago. This next week the kids are out of school and I don't have piano lessons. Halloween is Wednesday and we will probably do the usual Halloween carnival here in town. The pictures are the result of Kade falling off the cement steps, and thankfully, this injury is healed. The dogbite is about healed, but yesterday he sliced his finger of the grater. I wonder what age they start to develop common sense? He is very fun and we are trying to enjoy every minute.

Monkey time!

Now this is a silly thing--I tried everyway I know (which is only one) to rotate these pictures so I could put them on here--obviously it didn't work. We got Kade's Halloween costume today so we were trying it on. It is a Monkey. I thought he might throw a fit to have it on, but he actually seemed to enjoy it. He even played for awhile. Of course, it is easy to be happy when you have a binky in your mouth. We will try to eliminate that come Halloween. I must've been in the fall mood today, I put up some decorations. McKena got really excited, so I might have to answer questions everyday about how may days there are until Halloween.

The First Day of School

McKena started a new preschool in Smithfield this fall. I have been really impressed with it and she is having a great time. It is twice a week. I am in a carpool with 2 others so driving in isn't too bad. Kade and I have a couple of hours to do whatever we want-- which today was basically just damage control.

Our first day of school was on August 23, 2007. Nick, Brooke, Campbelle, and Gunnar were in town visiting. Zack was excited to start 4th grade, and Colin was excited to start 2nd grade. They had a good day.

You might be able to tell that it is a little sunny in this picture taking location.

This is our family in November 2006. Zack was 8, Colin 7, McKena 3, and Kade was 6 months. Mom took the picture so she would have one to take on her mission.
