Road Show Night

Every couple of years our Stake has each ward put on a road show. I'm sure this is a lot of work for someone, but I sure enjoyed watching a few of them last night. Each ward was assigned a "decade"--ours was the 50's. McKena and a few other girls did a little dance to "lollipop". It was pretty cute. Unfortunately, I did not make the time to whip up a poodle skirt for her. She was sad about that. Maybe next time I will ask my wonderful seamstress mother-in-law, she'd really appreciate it.

Licking the spoon

I made some cupcakes the other day. Kade was convinced it was his birthday cake, but he'd have to settle for licking the spoon.

The Dreaded Spring Rain

Once again this spring we have had an abundance of moisture. In fact, more stormy days than not. Unfortunately, my yard has taken on the "lake-ish" look that it often does in times of much rain. I took these this morning--it is a lot worse by now. Aahh.....spring?

3 Busy Weeks

I have a really good excuse for not posting for so long. My camera has gone missing in action. I had really good intentions of taking it to my in-laws and taking lots of pictures with their return and all of the cousins here to visit. I haven't seen it since, and I didn't even get any pictures! Let's see, what has happened in the last 3 weeks?

* The safe arrival of John's parents from their mission in New York. We are so happy to see them again!

* John's brother moved into a new house in Smithfield--we tried to help a little.

* My spring piano recital which went great!

* John's siblings coming into town for General Conference. Lots of food, family, and fun. Not enough sleep.

* My sisters flying in from Washington for a girl's weekend. We shopped, went to a movie, had lunch with Tyler and Tara, and topped it off with "Wicked" We had purchased the tickets a year ago and have been looking forward to it ever since. It was great! Meanwhile, the kids are on spring break and getting semi-neglected. They still have tomorrow so we might try to do something mildly entertaining then.

* Easter today, pretty relaxing. Church was interesting, they replaced the entire primary presidency, young women presidency, and relief society presidency. Crazy!

* Soccer games start this week. This is fun for us as long as the weather is decent. I've suffered through my share of cold soccer games.

Hopefully me camera turns up soon--I guess I could dig up my old one if I get desperate. The weather here lately has been pretty stormy. It still is not warm enough for my liking. Come on Spring!
