Milestones...
Life as we know it will never be the same. The "baby" has learned to climb out of his crib! He was knocking on our bedroom door the other morning about an hour before I like to get up. Boy did I get after Zack and Colin for letting him out so early. They denied it though, and it has now been confirmed that he can get out by himself. I just cringe when I think of it. His afternoon naps are already about an hour shorter because instead of going back to sleep he climbs out.
He has also learned to open doors this week. I used to close the door and teach piano lessons with him knocking on the other side. Well, now he just bursts through the door (you know, because he's out of his crib!) and sits on my lap during lessons making sure to occasionally put his foot up on the keyboard. I'm sure it's a good learning environment for my students. This morning during my lesson he fell and came in crying with a bloody binky. Somehow he cut that cord that goes between the 2 front teeth. Does anyone know if I need to get it looked at (or stitched back together)?
It snowed and hailed today but thank goodness we did not have to sit through any soccer games. It is going to continue to be cold for the next few days. Isn't it May now?

Bedtime
Wipe-out!
I think if you asked Zack he would not recommend going up to the top of a steep paved hill and racing down on a scooter without making sure that your brakes are in fine working order first. This happened within the first hour of our little trip to Bear Lake, on his way down to the swimming pool. His poor hands and elbows were really bruised and scraped up (these pictures do not do them justice). Only one of his legs got scraped up. Thank goodness we had a first aid kit in our van--I've always known that we would need it someday. And--this accident did not stop him from swimming and having a great time!
