FHE with the horses

We took our annual trip out to Lawson's to help facilitate McKena's dream of being a "cowgirl" when she grows up. Kade was pretty proud of himself up there, McKena loved it, Zack complained but then seemed to enjoy it, Colin, well the look on his face says it all... (let's just say he was forced)

Trip to Washington

I took the kids to Washington/Idaho for 10 days. We had so much fun thanks to the hospitality of my sister. We spent a fair amount of time playing in the backyard, swimming, etc. We also took a morning and went to the park (where we had a little friend slither through the grass by our feet). On Saturday we went to the airforce base for the Spokane airshow to watch the Blue Angels. The kids enjoyed that. They also enjoyed a couple of trips to the local Cabela's courtesy of Uncle Brett and Uncle Nick. On Monday we headed up to Priest Lake for the annual family reunion. You'll notice I don't have pictures of that because of course I forgot my camera. We had a wonderful time there too visiting with cousins. Anyway, there's our annual trip to Washington in a nutshell.

The new soccer uni

Zack had his first games with his new team--they competed in the Cache Valley Cup. They won 1 game and lost 2 but they are still learning their new positions and configuration on the field. They will be starting their fall season in 2 weeks!

Neighbors

I don't want anyone to feel left out of the blogging world so I'm posting a picture of my nieghbor on my blog. I realized that I don't have many pictures of someone that I see almost everyday. I'm going to have to start carrying a camera in my pocket or with my swimming towel when I go over to swim at her house.

Halloween 2006: This is my neighbor/friend Cindy posing here with her dog Sophie (this may be the only dog ever allowed in my house) and Sleeping Beauty McKena. Sophie is also in costume--I think she was a vampire. I am thankful for good neighbors and friends here in Lewiston!

Big Boy Bed!!!

For the last few weeks Kade has been sleeping here and there depending on what he wants to do that particular night. Knowing this is not conducive to good sleep habits we finally got around to putting up a big boy bed for the kid. He will be "bunkmates" with Colin. We'll see how that works out. I didn't dare take the crib down yet just in case I need a back-up plan (you know, when the excitement wears off). Maybe he was over it by the afternoon because he slept in his crib for his nap. Kade is a pretty great sleeper--we have been spoiled this way. From my experience all of that usually goes down the drain when you move them out of the crib. We'll see....

Twin Falls Temple Open House

We were able to make the two and a half hour trip this week to go to the Twin Falls temple open house. We went with John's brother's family. It was a good experience and the kids seemed to enjoy seeing inside a temple. It was very pretty. After the tour there was a little reception in the gym of the church complete with refreshments, decorations, and displays.
