Kade

Is this kid really old enough to play soccer? Yes, it is true. What's another 1 or 2 or 3 soccer games and practices a week.... so far so good. He has had 2 games and been pretty excited about both of them, regardless of our crappy weather this spring (our yard is still under water). He is the youngest on the team, so that means not a lot of ball handling, but he is good at running up and down the field.

Zack and Colin have also started their seasons. We are enjoying them so far. McKena has no interest and that is fine with me. She is participating in the drama club at school. They have been working on the play "Annie" all year, and they will perform it next week. Hopefully there will be pictures of that in a future post. Colin and McKena also have a piano recital next week.

I am busy trying to prepare my 25 piano students for an upcoming recital. I haven't even set the date yet, I am dragging my feet for some reason. Well, I know the reason--the recital venue I like to use has gone out of business and I'm just not quite sure where I want to have it. We have grown too big for the good ol' relief society room. Dang. Other than this I cannot say that I am accomplishing much--just a lot of laundry. We did enjoy a trip to my parents' house in Washington for spring break. We had a great visit with cousins. I forgot to take the camera, but it was nice to get away for a few days.

The Baptism

On April 9th McKena was able to get baptized. Attending were Grandma and Grandpa Allen, Grandma and Grandpa Morrison, Dave and Gina and kids, Greg and Jen and kids, and Tisha Chipman with Sarah and Rachel. Colin and I (Mom) were the speakers and John performed the baptism and confirmation. There was an awesome musical number by Kelsie, Abbie, Connor and Jill. Afterwards we came home for lunch and visiting. Overall, a very nice day. I can't believe 3 of my 4 kids have been baptized! The time is just flying by!

McKena turns 8!

This past week has been busy with birthday celebrations for McKena. The celebrating will continue through next month, as she will be baptized on April 9th. It's crazy that my little girl is this old! We are proud of her and the blessings that she brings to our family! I'm so glad I have at least one girl!

Weather Issues

This is what happens when amount of snow (below) starts to melt.

You can imagine how nice it looks now, because since I have taken these 2 pictures it has rained for 2 days. It will continue to rain through tomorrow. Now, I wanted the snow to melt, but come on Mother Nature, enough moisture!

New Table and Chairs

This is what we did with part of our tax refund this year. We have been using a table with only 4 chairs (for our family of 6) for long enough! Now all that's missing is the delicious dinner to go on top!

McKena's School Program

Every year the 2nd graders at our elementary put on a "Patriotic Program". This year, Mckena was chosen to be a narrator with another little friend. She worked and worked on her lines and did a wonderful job performing them.

Zack's 13th Birthday

So, here I am going to try to catch up a little, after 2 months of non-posting. Back in February Zack celebrated his 13th birthday. It was a little of an after-thought because he spent his actual birthday in St. George at a soccer tournament. But, we are glad he's made it another year and we are proud of the young man he is becoming. I guess John took these pictures, because of course I would have insisted he put on another shirt over his undershirt. Also, I would have taken one that wasn't from the side. Oh well, it's the best we've got.
