I have a really good excuse for not posting for so long. My camera has gone missing in action. I had really good intentions of taking it to my in-laws and taking lots of pictures with their return and all of the cousins here to visit. I haven't seen it since, and I didn't even get any pictures! Let's see, what has happened in the last 3 weeks?
* The safe arrival of John's parents from their mission in New York. We are so happy to see them again!
* John's brother moved into a new house in Smithfield--we tried to help a little.
* My spring piano recital which went great!
* John's siblings coming into town for General Conference. Lots of food, family, and fun. Not enough sleep.
* My sisters flying in from Washington for a girl's weekend. We shopped, went to a movie, had lunch with Tyler and Tara, and topped it off with "Wicked" We had purchased the tickets a year ago and have been looking forward to it ever since. It was great! Meanwhile, the kids are on spring break and getting semi-neglected. They still have tomorrow so we might try to do something mildly entertaining then.
* Easter today, pretty relaxing. Church was interesting, they replaced the entire primary presidency, young women presidency, and relief society presidency. Crazy!
* Soccer games start this week. This is fun for us as long as the weather is decent. I've suffered through my share of cold soccer games.
Hopefully me camera turns up soon--I guess I could dig up my old one if I get desperate. The weather here lately has been pretty stormy. It still is not warm enough for my liking. Come on Spring!

Another Week
It's been awhile since I've posted and I'm frantically trying to think of what's been going on. Not too much excitement here. We had a beautiful spring-like week last week. It was sooo nice. The kids broke out their shorts, t-shirts, and flip-flops. It was fun to see McKena and Kade discovering "outside" again. They played outside for hours. I also spent a little time in the yard cleaning up some of the mess that didn't get done last fall. The tulips are about 3 inches tall now so we are making progress. Unfortunately the horse manure next door also began to thaw and we were able to enjoy that smell anywhere in our backyard. Almost all of the snow melted, we had a few traces left in our backyard. Of course by Sunday a storm blew in complete with rain and by Monday it was a major snowstorm. It snowed huge fluffy flakes for hours and covered the ground with 2-3 inches. The snow didn't stay for long though, as our balmy 40 degrees today was enough to melt it. We have more storms ahead this week but it should warm up again next week.
All of the kids are enjoying school, and I'm enjoying my quiet afternoons with Kade. If I'm lucky I can get an occassional nap out of him. I've been trying to get all of my piano students prepared for a recital that is next week. After that, I am looking forward to a visit from my sisters, spring break, my in-laws arriving home from their mission, Easter, and soccer season. The year is just flying by!
