McKena's 5th Birthday

Notice the M&M's are missing from one end of the cake...weird.

We celebrated McKena's birthday over a couple of days this year. On Friday morning, before school, we let McKena open her presents so that Zack and Colin could watch. Imagine their disappointment when there was only clothes, Barbies, and High School Musical items to be found. Girl things I guess. Then John and I took her to lunch at Firehouse Pizza where they get a free pizzookie (a cookie hot in a skillet with ice cream and syrup over top) when it's their birthday. At about 4 0'clock she got to go with her cousin to Salt Lake to see Disney's Princesses on Ice. What a fun day for her. Since I hadn't made a cake I made one on Sunday for us to sing to her. I think she is happy to be 5. Last week we got her registered for kindergarten so we are good to go!

McKena,
Happy, happy, happy birthday. It looks like you had a chocolaty good time. What are those things on your ears? We love you and are glad you are our grand-daughter.
Love, Grandma and Grandpa Allen

I can't believe how dark her hair is! It'll probably still turn blond in the summer...Happy Birthday!

Oh ya, and by the way, I was in WA when those M&M's disappeared so it wasn't me but we seem to have that phenomenon occur here every once in a while...
